DECKING: Power & Resistance Challenge

Traditional Hidden Fasteners VS iDecking’s EasyClick System

Today we decided to compare two decking installation systems in a true strength challenge! Why? That’s very simple... when you buy a deck, you need to pay attention not only to the material the boards are made of! As stable as it can be, both wood and composite material move, and when they do it, they do it with power! Keeping in consideration this fact is truly important to make the right choice and for the overall lasting of the deck. When wood moves, literally rips off or breaks any kind of screw without trouble, it’s just a matter of time!

Time and moving power of each board depends on different factors: quality of chosen material, weather/climate situation in your area. We tried to simulate a funny Strength Test on this product and the result HAS JUST BEEN SO SURPRISING, have a look:

The video speaks for itself, but let’s give a closer look to this two systems:

iDecking’s EASYCLICK installation System

easyclick deckingEasyClick is the system by iDecking Revolution studied to increase stability and strength of the whole deck! Each board is kept in place by 4 different “hooks”, once it’s clicked... it just won’t move! EasyClick is the innovative system which allows you to install iDecking Revolution boards simply using your feet. No need to use any nails, screws, drills, spacers or “obsolete” clips. The EasyClick system helps ensure a quick and simple troublefree installation. EasyClick is essentially comprised of an understructure “rail system” which comes with pre-installed and pre-spaced patented EasyClick nylon clips. Our patented grooved decking boards are then simply pressed and locked in place. The system can be used both for Wood and for Composites such as DURO and ETHERNO (Carbonized Bamboo).

What are the highlights of EasyClick system?

  • Decking installation up to 5 times faster than traditional deck building
  • Boards require Zero screws, nails or other fasteners
  • Drastic reduction of installation errors
  • “Effortless” installation
  • Doesn’t cause water stagnation
  • Increased structural integrity and strength
  • Self blocking and Self aligning system

Traditional Hidden Fasteners decking installation system

This is the first kind of innovation that came after the face fastening decking system. Before buying a decking to be installed with Traditional Hidden Fasteners or any other screw driven system, there are deep consideration to be done, especially to know what you’re going to encounter after some time! The real problem is given by screws... they won’t hold forever! And despite being a time waster thing, it force you to structural maintenance every single season (this depends on the kind of wood/material and screws you use). When the screw fails, the board lifts up, this is not just bad looking, is even dangerous especially if you have kids... just to give you a few examples:
